Hoffman, wife of Sylvester J. Hoffman, 628 South Main Street, died at the West Side sanitarium, York, this evening at 3:45 o'clock, where she had been confined for two days. Death was caused by an obstruction in the bowels. The deceased was aged 65 years. She is survived by her husband and the following children: Oscar Hoffman, York; Mrs. Albert Koch of Red Lion; Samuel Hoffman, of Hanover; Mrs. Ralph Mate, of Red Lion, RD; Mrs. Emory Stein, Red Lion; Charles Hoffman, Springvale; Mrs. Laura Sevis, Springvale; Kohn Hoffman, Red Lion; Emory, Ralph and Norman all at home. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Oran Reichard, Dallastown, and Mrs. Jane Frey, Millersville. There were also 12 grand children. The funeral will be held Saturday, October 5, with brief services at the home at 9:20 a.m. Further services will be held in St. Paul's Evangelical church, Springvale. Interment will be made in Red Lion cemetery. The body can be viewed from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday evening. Furnace b. Olweiler, local funeral director, has charge of funeral arrangements.
