Holtzapple, widow of Israel Holtzapple, died Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edward Glatfelter, near Seven Valleys, with whom she had been living. She was in the 79th year of her age. Mrs. Holtzapple was an invalid for almost six months, and about four days prior to her death contracted an attack of pneumonia, which caused her death. She had been a member of Ziegler’s Lutheran church, near Seven Valleys for about thirty-six years, as well as a member of the Sunday school for many years. Surviving are two sons, Dr. George E. Holtzapple and J. H. Holtzapple, of York; and four daughters, Mrs. Mary Stover, York; Mrs. Charles Myers, of near Hanover Junction; Mrs. Edward Glatfelter, of near Seven Valleys, and Mrs. J. W. Shepperd, of Seven Valleys. One brother, George Lecrone, West York, also survives. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, March 18, 1916 [* - name taken from 1900 census]
