Jacobs, Nashville, Member Of Church Of God Eldership PREACHED 25 YEARS Nashville, Dec. 5 - Rev. Samuel K. Jacobs, one of the associate pastors of the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren congregation, died at 8:20 o'clock this evening at his home here. Death was caused by a complication of diseases, following an illness of three weeks. He was aged 64 years and 15 days. Rev. Mr. Jacobs was ordained to eldership of the Church of the Brethren in 1917, but has been preaching for more than 35 years. He had always served the Pleasant Hill congregation. He was a native of the vicinity, having been born in North Codorus township, the son of the late Israel and Lucy Jacobs. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Annie Jacobs; a daughter, Mrs. Katie Hess and a son, Samuel L. Jacobs, both of York; also one brother, Andrew Jacobs, near York New Salem. The funeral will be held Thursday with brief services at the late home at 9:30 a.m. and concluding services in the North Codorus Church of the Brethren. Interment will be made in the cemetery adjoining the church. Funeral Director Melvin Sauter, Menges Mills, has charge of the arrangements. The Gazette And Daily - Tuesday, December 6, 1932
