Kilgore - August 28, 1991 Airville - John W. Kilgore, 68, of Airville RD2, died at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday at Coatsville Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was the husband of Patricia (Fowler) Kilgore. The service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Pine Grove Presbyterian Church, Sunnyburn. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with Military Rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars John S. Murphy Post 7130, and American Legion Slate Ridge Post 182. Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Harkins Funeral Home Inc., 600 Main St., Delta, with Masonic Rites at 8:45 by Free and Accepted Masons Friendship Lodge 663. Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of Pine Grove Presbyterian Church, in care of Zatae Atkins, Box 98, Airville RD 2, 17302; or to the Alzheimer Disease and Related Disorders Association, Box 11534, Harrisburg, 17108. Mr. Kilgore was born in Peach Botton Township. He was the son of the late William Kilgore and Ruth(Wilson) Kilgore Walters. He lived in the Airville area since 1954. He was employed at Edgewood Arsenal for 23 years, retiring in 1972. Later, he was manager of Camp Donegal for eight years. He had served six years as a director of the Red Lion Area School Board, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. A member and elder of Pine Grove Presbyterian Church, Sunnyburn, he belonged to Free and Accepted Masons Friendship Lodge 663 at Fawn Grove, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars John S. Murphy Post 7130. Mr. Kilgore also is survived by two sons, Craig A. Kilgore of Red Lion, and Brett L. Kilgore of Reading; a daughter, Lindsey A Hoffmaster of Red Lion; four grandchildren; and a brother, Willard Kilgore of Delta RD. Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. James B.
