Krug, of Penn Township, near the borough limits, along the Carlisle pike, died on Saturday evening in the 83d year of his age. Deceased had been a sufferer from pneumonia for the past three months. On Saturday evening, he was stricken with paralysis, to which he succumbed soon afterwards. Deceased was a son of the late George Krug and wife, and was born on what is not the Panabaker farm in Union Township, Adams County, in August, 1816. He grew to manhood amid the surroundings of his birth and followed the vocation of farming all his life. About fifty years ago, he was married to Miss Mary Fisher, daughter of John Fisher, of Union Township, and for some thirty-five years they carried on farming in Adams County, then moving to Penn Township, where they have since resided. Besides his wife, he is survived by eight children, George F. Krug, of Kingdale, Daniel Krug, of Oxford Township, Adams County, Samuel Krug, of Lineboro, Md., Mrs. Abraham Grove and Mrs. Henry Menges, of Germany Township, Adams County, Mrs. Franklin Kindig, of Union Township, Misses Sarah and Annie Krug, at home. Two brothers, John and Rufus Krug, of Midway, also survive. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock from the house. Rev. Dr. J. C. Koller, pastor of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, of which deceased was a member for many years, will officiate. Interment will be made in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
