All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/york/ _______________________________________________ LaRue Solomon LaRue, who was born at the Speck farm, in Franklin township, 85 years ago, died at his home in Harrisburg, Monday morning, the cause of his death being the infirmities of advanced age. Mr. LaRue for a number of years resided in Bermudian, later removed to Dillsburg, where he owned and occupied the Shearer home, now owned by Peter Siole, and was for a time a Director of the Dillsburg National Bank. The family later removed to Harrisburg, where they have since resided, and where Mrs. LaRue passed away. Four sons, who resided in the West survive and the following daughters, who reside in Harrisburg, Mrs. Reitzel, Mrs. Swengel, Mrs. Shenberger and Miss Lerew, who resided with their father. The funeral was held Wednesday at the late home in Harrisburg, conducted by Rev. E. N. Kremer, of Salem Reformed Church, at 10:30 a.m. The funeral party arrived in Dillsburg at 3:03 p.m. and interment was made in the Dillsburg Cemetery.
