Died Under Anesthetic

Mrs. Anna Mary Latchaw, wife of Peter J. Latchaw, of York, died April 24th, while Dr. W. H. 
Wagner was administering chloroform to her preparatory to settling her left shoulder, which had 
been dislocated about two weeks ago.  Dr. Spaeder, who had been called into consultation on the 
case, was present at the time.

Dr. Wagner in an interview stated that the woman died while he was giving the anesthetic, 
probably from some underlying cause which the physicians are unable to account for.  She was in 
the 49th year.
