Leese, a North Codorus township farmer, died Sunday, July 7. He was seventy-nine years, ten months and twenty-six days old, and death was due to dropsy. For 30 years he had been justice of the peace of the township and had another two years to serve. He was also the oldest stall-holder in the Farmers’ market, York, having been there for 23 years. He is survived by two sons, Benjamin Leese, North Codorus; Daniel, Bair’s Station; two daughters, Mrs. George Mummert, Menges Mills; Mrs. John Shepp, Spring Grove. There are a brother and a sister, Daniel Leese, of Indiana, and Mrs. Alice Shuler, Baltimore. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, July 13, 1912
