Lerew, a well known cigar dealer, of York, died about 3:10 Friday afternoon, following a stroke of apoplexy which came upon his when he was in the bath room at his residence in the morning. Deceased was in his 59th year. He was in the best of health Friday morning. About 10:30 he was found unconscious in the bath-room and Drs. Well and Long were summoned but he died without regaining consciousness. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Sophia. His father, Jacob K. Lerew, resides at York Springs, where he also has a brother, Oliver. Mr. Lerew engaged in farming until some years ago when he engaged in the hotel business in York Springs. He married a daughter of the late Enos Frey, of York. About 8 years ago he went to York. New Oxford Item, New Oxford, PA, June 13, 1907
