Irene Long After an illness of several months from a complication of diseases, Miss Sarah Irene Long, only daughter of Wm. H. Long, of 230 York street, died Wednesday evening, Dec. 24, at 6 o’clock. She was aged 28 years, 9 months and 26 days. He death was as the fading of a leaf, and the spark of life left her frail body without a struggle, the spirit passing peacefully to the “Great Beyond,” there to join a mother, a sister and two brothers; she being the last of a family of five children to be called home, within a few years. Possessed of a bright and happy disposition, the deceased was beloved by a wide circle of friends and acquaintances, all of whom will regret to learn of her seeming untimely death. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran church and Sunday school. Also a graduate of the Hanover High school, and a member of the Alumni Association. Funeral Saturday, Dec. 27, services at the house at 1:30 p.m., Rev. A. M. Heilman officiating. Interment on family lot in Mt. Olivet cemetery. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, December 27, 1913
