RACHEL ANN LOWE
Wife of Mr. Rufus LOWE, died at the home of her son Frank, at Fawn Grove on 
Saturday Feb'y 18th aged 79 years. On Thursday previous, Mrs. LOWE started to 
visit her son and was stricken with apoplexy just as she reached his gate.  
She was attended by her family physician, Dr. Vallie Hawkins, assisted by Dr. 
Hayward.  Her husband, five sons and two daughters survive her. Her funeral 
was held in Fellowship M.E. church, of which she was a member, and was largely 
attended.  Services were conducted by Rev. W. W. Davis of Jarrettsville.  Rev. 
Joseph D. Smith of Slate Ridge, and Rev. Starr of Fawn Grove.  Messrs James R. 
Kilgore, Wm. M. Barton, John Carroll Calvin Richardson, Corbin Taylor and 
Henry Merrymen were the pallbearers.
