Markle After an illness of about ten weeks, Jacob V. Markle died at his late home on Fair Avenue, Saturday night at 10:30 o’clock, aged 60 years, 1 months and 26 days. Mr. Markle was a son of Amos and Elizabeth (Myers), late of West Manheim Township, where he was born and spent most of his life. In 1883 he was married to Miss Amanda Garrett, daughter of the late Henry Garrett, of York Road. Most of their life was spent on a farm until one year ago when he retired and moved to Hanover. The deceased was a life long member of St. Paul’s (Dubs) Reformed church. He is survived by his wife and eight children: Versie Markle of West Manheim Township; Ralph Markle, of McAllister Street; Mrs. Samuel Hoffacker, of Fair Avenue; Miss Annie Markle, of York; Vernie, Walter, Richard and Miss Amy Markle, at home. One brother, Geo. Markle, and three sisters, Mrs. Henry Masemore, Mrs. Wesley Cromer, of West Manheim Township, and Mrs. William Snyder, of Sinsheim, and seven grandchildren survives. Funeral Wednesday, service at the house at 9:30 a.m., Rev. J. H. Hartman officiating. Interment in St. Paul’s Union cemetery. Relatives and friends invited to attend the funeral.
