McDowell Mrs. Catherine McDowell, wife of David F. McDowell, died at her home, 875 East Poplar Street, on Saturday night at 10:30 o'clock. Death was caused by a stroke of paralysis. She was 65 years old. She leaves her husband at the following sons and daughters; Mrs. William Badders, 806 East Market Street, William F. McDowell, 261 North Sherman Street; John H. McDowell, 832 East Philadelphia Street; Mrs. Marie Flowers, at home; James G. McDowell, at home: Mrs. Elijah Herman, Stewartstown, and Calvin Hannigan, Felton. Fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren in the following brothers and sisters also survive; Mrs. Aggie Bisker, Red Lion; James Hannigan, Windsor and Mrs. Barbara Hersey, Green Hill. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 1 PM. Rev. B. Livingston pastor St. Mark's Lutheran Church, will officiate. The funeral cortege will proceed to Roads Methodist Episcopal church where services will be held and interment will be made in the adjoining cemetery. Additional Comments: Catherine McDowell was Catherine "Kate" Hannigan, daughter of Oliver Hannigan and Elizabeth Sentz Hannigan before marriage.
