MAYNARD M McDOWELL SR

STEWARTSTOWN — Maynard M. McDowell Sr., husband of Ida L. Wright McDowell, 
Stewartstown RD 3, died at 1O:40 a.m. Friday at York Hospital. He was 78.

Mr. McDowell was a member of Stewartstown United Methodist Church and Eureka 
Fire Co. He was a retired employe of Stewartstown Lumber Co.

A son of the late Adams and Sarah Muir McDowell, he also Is survived by two 
children, Mrs. Helen Hildebrand, Shrewsbury, and Norman G. McDowell, 
Stewartstown RD 2; eight grand-children, eight great-grandchildren and a 
brother, Ernest McDowell, York. A son, Maynard M. McDowell Jr., died in 
1969.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Kenneth W. Orsburn Funeral 
Home. The Rev. William J. Lippert, Mr. McDowell’s pastor, will officiate. 
Interment will be in Stewartstown cemetery.
