JOHN MITZEL DEAD
Former Felton landlord dies from Bright's disease after illness of several 
months
Felton, Oct. 14 -- John Gotwalt Mitzel, a retired hotelkeeper, died at his 
home this morning at 4 o'clock, aged 75 years, 10 months and 20 days. Death 
was caused by Bright's disease from which he had been suffering for several 
months. Mr. Mitzel conducted Felton hotel for eight years, but last month quit 
the business and lived a retired life in the hotel. Besides his wife, Mr. 
Mitzel least one daughter, Mrs. Pius Tyson, and the following brothers and 
sisters: Martha, Clara, and Albert, all of Cly; Clinton, Elmer and Emanuel, 
all of York. The funeral will be private and will be held Sunday afternoon at 
1 o'clock at his home. The funeral procession will then proceed to Prospect 
Hill Cemetery, York, where further services will be held at the grave site, to 
which friends and relatives have been invited.
