Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Mummert, widow of the late Jacob B. Mummert, died at the 
home of her daughter, Mrs. Stough at Hanover on last Friday.  On Wednesday 
preceding her death, shortly before daylight, she arose and in the darkness 
reached the head of the steps and fell headlong to the bottom of the stairway.  
She was aged about 77 years.  Her husband, Jacob B. Mummert, died seven months 
ago.  The funeral was on Monday with interment in Hanover Cemetery.  She leaves 
six daughters and four sons, Mrs. Anna Becker of Conowago township, Mrs. Amelia 
Forry of Abbottstown, Mrs. Alice Stambaugh, of La Bott, York Co., Mrs. Savanna 
Myers, of Spring Grove, Mrs. Eleanor Stough, Mrs. Saranda Wolford, George S. 
Mummert, of Hanover, Albert Mummert, of La Bott, Jacob Mummert, of near East 
Berlin, and Eli Mummert, of Baltimore.
