Mummert, died at the home of her mother, Mrs. Catharine Mummert, near Menges' Mills, Friday morning at 4 o'clock, after suffering with cancer for some time. She was taken to Johns Hopkins hospital, Baltimore, four weeks ago, but no operation was performed. She is survived by her husband, William A. Mummert, and three children: Claudine, Richard and John; also by her mother, Mrs. Catharine Mummert, and one brother, Nelson Mummert, and one sister, Dilla Mummert, residing at the home of her mother. The funeral was held this morning at 9:30 o'clock at the home of her mother. Short services were held at the house and further services and interment at the Pleasant Hill meeting house in Jackson township, Rev. David Baker, Abbottstown, and Rev. David Hoff, officiating. The pallbearers were Henry Mummert, Willis Sweemly, John J. Macmaster, and George Strausbaugh. George W. Sauter, of Menges' Mills was the funeral director. The Gazette - Monday, January 01, 1912
