Mummert, died this morning at 12:30 o'clock at the home of his brother, Aaron M. Mummert, 322 York street, following an extended illness from a complication of diseases. He was aged sixty years. Mr. Mummert was a son of Daniel and Mary (Mummert) Mummert, and was born February 24, 1870. His wife preceded him in death. Mr. Mummert, before his illness, had for many years been section foreman on the Western Maryland Railroad. Surviving him are one son, Robert William Mummert, Pennhurst school; three brothers, Aaron M. Mummert, with whom he resided; John M. Mummert, Penn township, and Harry M. Mummert, Brodbecks, and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Leese, Brodbecks, and Mrs. Elsworth Bort, Hanover. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon with services conducted at the home at 1:30 o'clock and further obsequies in Bair's Meeting house, York road. Rev. A. M. Hollinger, pastor of the West Manheim Lutheran charge, will officiate. Burial will be made in Bair's Meeting house cemetery. The Gazette and Daily - Thursday, February 05, 1931
