Sinsheim - 
Jacob Mummert, of this place, died suddenly while at work in an oat field this
morning.  Mr. Mummert, who was about 70 years old, had been ill with dropsy for 
some time but was able to be around and work.  While helping in the harvest  
field this morning Mr. Mummert was seen to fall on the ground and examination 
showed that he was dead.  He is survived by the following children:  Henry, 
residing in Maryland; Landis, of West Manheim township; Charles of Sinsheim; 
Mrs. Jacob Null, of Smith's station; Mrs. Samuel Shueman, of Mt. Pleasant, Adams 
county.  Burial will take place at Dub's church, near Manheim township, but the 
time of the funeral has not been fixed as yet.
