Moses Mummert, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 4:30 a.m. at her home in Jackson Township, near Pleasant Hill Meeting House, aged 64 years, 5 months and 2 days. Mrs. Mummert was highly respected; a kind and loving wife and mother, and was cherished by all who knew her. The deceased was a daughter of the late Josiah Hoover, of the same place, and was united in marriage about 40 years ago to the Rev. Moses Mummert, who survives her with seven children as follows: David, of Spring Grove; Ezra, Moses and Samuel, of Jackson Township; Daniel and the Misses Anna and Mary Mummert, at home. Four brothers also survive - Absalom and David Hoover, Menges Mills; Washington Hoover, of Abbottstown, and Henry Hoover, of Iron Ore; also one sister, Mrs. Samuel Mummert, of Menges Mill. There are two step-children, George Mummert, of Menges Mill, and Miss Emma Mummert, of Lancaster County. Funeral Friday, Jan. 13, from her late home at 9 a.m., services and interment at Pleasant Hill Meeting House. Hanover Herald - Saturday, January 14, 1911
