The funeral of Effie Odell, the six-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David 
Myers, --04 Wallace street, was held at the family residence Saturday afternoon.  
Meningitis was said to be the cause of the child’s death.  She had been under 
the care of a local physician until her condition became such that she was 
removed to the Jefferson hospital, Philadelphia, as a last resort.  Death 
occurred shortly after her removal.  The services were conducted by the Rev. 
Peter Livingston, pastor of St. Mark’s Lutheran church.  Interment was made in 
Mt. Rose cemetery.
