All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/york/ _______________________________________________ Miss Mary Nace Miss Mary Nace, the 18-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Nace, of Spring Grove, who had been sick the past two months, died Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 5, at 1:30 o’clock. The father, Emanuel Nace, was taking care of a herd of cattle at the York fair when he learned that the daughter was dying. An automobile was dispatched to bring him home. The race to get the father to the bedside of the dying daughter was of no avail as she expired several minutes before his arrival. Besides her parents she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Paul Ruth and Mrs. Joseph Hershey, of North Codorus township, four brothers, Howard E., Robert and Clinton Nace, Spring Grove, and George Nace, Harrisburg. Funeral from her late home Thursday, Oct. 7, at 1:30 p.m., Rev. Geo. W. Welsh, of the Reformed Church, officiating. Interment in Spring Grove cemetery. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, October 9, 1909
