All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/york/ _______________________________________________ Newspaper Unknown Handwritten Date: 1911 or 1917 or 1919 on obit DROPS DEAD FROM ATTACK OF HEART Sudden Death of Mrs. Adam Nonemaker of Near New Freedom Eli Wilhelm Injured New Freedom Sept 16th (could be 18th) - Seized by a sudden attack of the heart, this morning at 9:15(could be :13) o'clock, Mrs. Adam Nonemaker, residing near the Summit Grove campmeeting grounds, expired suddenly. Mrs Nonemaker, a few minutes prior to her death, had left the kitchen of her home for the purpose of getting a bucket of water at a pump in the yard. She finished getting the water and placed it on a bench at the side of the yard. She walked to the other end of the bench where there was some water standing in another bucket, when she suddenly expired. Death was instantaneous, it was announced by the attending physician, Dr. James L. Yagle, who was summoned. After she fell, Mrs. Thomas F. McCollough was the first to see her, she residing near the Nonemaker home. She summoned her husband and he in turn spread the alarm to the deceased husband, who works in the canning factory close by, and with the assistance of Ross McCollough and William Nonemaker she was carried into the house. The deceased was 66(?) years, 1 month and 28 days old, and is survived by her husband, four sons by her first marriage as follows; James Brose, near here, William Brose, near here; Clarence Brose and Harvey Brose, York, and one brother James Fishel, York.
