Henry H. Pfeiffer, son of the late Dr. Geo. Pfeiffer, and a native of New 
Oxford, died Friday morning at his home in York following a lingering sickness.  
He was 77 years old and was for a number of years a teacher in the grade schools 
of Baltimore, Hanover, and McSherrystown.  Because of ill health, Mr. Pfeiffer 
retired from active work about 20 years ago.  He leaves five sons, his wife and 
one daughter; also one brother and one sister, Captain J. Quincy A. Pfeiffer and 
Mrs. George Zeigler, both of Gettysburg.  The funeral was held on Monday 
afternoon with interment at Neiman's church, Shiloh.
