First Guest At Home Here Dies

Mrs. Jessie M. Plowman, 91 formerly of Hanover, died at 11:30 o'clock last 
evening at the Gettysburg Lutheran Home where she had been a guest since the 
home opened in October 1970. Mrs. Plowman was the first guest to be admitted to 
the home.

Her husband, Calvin W. Plowman, died a number of years ago.

Mrs. LeRoy H. Winebrenner, Baltimore St. is a daughter.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete but are being made by the Kenworthy Funeral 
Home in Hanover.

SERVICES MONDAY FOR MRS. PLOWMAN

Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie M. Plowman, 91, formerly of Hanover, who died 
Thursday night at the Gettysburg Lutheran Home, will be held Monday morning at 
11 o'clock at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, 269 Frederick St. Hanover.

Mrs. Plowman, whose husband Calvin W. Plowman, died in 1933 was the first guest 
admitted when the Lutheran home here was opened in October 1970.

She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Hanover. A native of Hanover, 
she was a daughter of the late Henry and Laura (Cromer) Beard.

Surviving are a daughter Mrs. LeRoy H. Winebrenner, 449 Baltimore st. Four 
grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Friends may call Monday morning from 
10-11 at the funeral home in Hanover. Rev Ray E. Blansett will officiate at the 
service at 11. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
