John C. Rank

John C. Rank, a retired farmer died at his late home in Pennville at early hour 
on Wednesday following an extended illness from infirmities.  He was aged 85 
years, 1 month and 12 days. 

The deceased was born in Germany and in early life came to America.  The most of 
his life being spent in this section.

Mr. Rank leaves a widow and two step-sons, Emanuel G. Walker, of High Street, 
and Eli G. Walker, of Lancaster.

Funeral, Friday, May 19th, services at the house at 9 a.m. Rev. George E. Sheffer 
of the West Manheim Lutheran charge officiating.  Interment in St. Bartholomew’s 
Lutheran cemetery.
