Mr. Reichard has been in ill health for some time although he has been able to do light work. He retired last evening in apparent good health and during the early morning felt pains at his heart. Unable to sleep he got out of bed and went down stairs and started to make the fires. His wife not hearing any noise coming from the kitchen for some time feared her husband was taken sick and upon going down stairs found him seated in a rocking armchair, dead. He was 49 years, seven months and 24 days old and leaves his wife and six children, Mary, Norman, Roy, Helen, Ruth, Jesse, Charlotte and Carl Reichard, all at home. The following brothers and sisters also survive him: James Reichard, Red Lion; William Reichard, York; Ora Reichard, Maryland; Marion Reichard, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Oliver Hess Red Lion; Mrs. Jacob Leber, Jacobus, and Mrs. William Winemiller, York. The funeral will be held on Tuesday morning at 9:20 o'clock. Services will be conducted at the Reichard home. Immediately after the services the funeral cortege will proceed to Cross Roads where interment will be made in the cemetery adjoining the Cross Roads Methodist Episcopal church. Opportunity to view the body will be given at the graveside. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Tuesday, at 9:30 a.m. with services at the house and interment in Cross Roads Methodist cemetery.
