The deceased was the third in a family and was born in York county, Pa. Her maiden name was Beck, and her only sister, Mrs. Eliza Fomler, of Latrobe, was in attendance at her funeral on Wednesday. She has several brothers living, mostly in the western states. Deceased was the mother of eight children, five of whom preceded her to the other world. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, with whom she had lived in wedlock over 42 years; and three sons, viz., William, who is married and lives in Colorado; Lemon T., who is employed mostly in Latrobe; George, who has been taking care of his parents at Waterford, and Birdie, a little adopted daughter. Mrs. Roberts died in her sixty-sixth year. She made profession of Christianity in 1850 and has lived in communion with the Disciple church ever since she was a resident of Waterford, about 38 years, and was a faithful companion, a devoted mother, a kind neighbor, and much loved by all who knew her. Funeral services were conducted at the house by Elder Hanawalt, where a large concourse of people were in attendance.
