Roland, aged 63 years and 18 days. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral [illegible - probably from his home] Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in Mt. Rose cemetery. ****************************************************************************************** From The Gazette, York, PA, 8 Dec 1934: John A. Roland John A. Roland, who celebrated his sixty-third birthday anniversary on November 19, last, died at 5:15 p. m. yesterday at his residence, 133 West Jackson street, from a complication of diseases, following an illness since September 12. Mr. Roland is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Roland; one son, Clarence W. Roland, York; two grandchildren, Norma and Clarence Nelson Roland; a sister, Mrs. Laura Oberdick, York, and a brother, William W. Roland, Emigsville. The funeral will be held on Monday with services at his home on West Jackson street at 2 p. m. Rev. J. W. Krecker, pastor of Christ Evangelical church, will officiate. Interment will be made in Mt. Rose cemetery. The body may be viewed at the home from 1 to 8 p. m., Sunday. ****************************************************************************************** From The Gazette, York, PA, 11 Dec 1934: John A. Roland The funeral of John A. Roland, who died Friday evening, was held at 2 p. m. yesterday at his residence, 133 West Jackson street. Rev. J. Willard Krecker, pastor of Christ Evangelical church, officiated. The pallbearers were the following representatives of the York lodge, Loyal Order of Moose: A. Hibner, Charles Lochert, Bud Leonard and J. P. Johnson. Interment was made in Mt. Rose cemetery.
