All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/york/ _______________________________________________ ROSS Lemuel Ross, one of Dillsburg’s oldest and most widely known residents, died at 10:30 Sunday night after a few weeks’ illness, aged 80 years. Mr. Ross was a well-known Democrat, and was at one time a member of the State Legislature and later Postmaster of Dillsburg. He was a descendant of a prominent family, a long line of Presbyterians, and was a member of Monaghan Church, in this place. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. J. Harold Wolf, pastor of Monaghan Church. Interment was made in Warrington Friends’ Cemetery, near Wellsville. The pall-bearers were Messrs. J. S. Kapp, J. Robert McClure, D. W. Wagner, Levi A. Arndt, W. D. Boesch and A. G. Blackford. S. H. Klugh was the Funeral Director. Dillsburg Weekly Bulletin, Friday, February 25, 1916
