Schroll Jacob Cleveland Schroll died at the home of Mr. Poff, near Red Lion, on Saturday, Jan. 8th, from heart trouble. His age was 30 years, 7 months and 9 days. He was called to the bedside of his brother-in-law, John Lightner, of York, who is seriously ill, and while getting ready to leave, he fell over and died a few hours later. He was a barber by trade, not working at his trade for a few years. Besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schroll, of York, he is survived by his wife and three small children, Clarence, Raymond and Russell, also a step- daughter, Miss Sadie Brenneman, and the following sisters and brothers, George Schroll, York New Salem; Mrs. Jessie Runkle and Mrs. John Lightner, of York; Mrs. Harry Newman, of Hanover, and Arthur, Susan, Alice and Mary Schroll, at home. Funeral was held Tuesday. Interment at East Prospect, near Red Lion. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, January 15, 1916
