Sheaffer Mrs. Elizabeth Sheaffer, wife of John Y. Sheaffer, died very suddenly from paralysis, at her home, No. 106 Pleasant street, on Sunday evening. Deceased had been in her usual good health during the day, and after eating a hearty supper, visited her son, Allen, near her home. About 9 o’clock she returned, and soon after complained of a severe pain in her left arm. Dr. Charles Wagner was summoned, but before he arrived her spirit passed peacefully away. Her age was 71 years, 5 months and 15 days. Mrs. Sheaffer was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Stambaugh, late of North Codorus township, and is survived by her husband, six sons and two daughters, as follows: Edward, George, Allen, and Harry Sheaffer, Mrs. Grant Flickinger, and Mrs. George A. Ruby, all residing in Hanover; Jacob Sheaffer, of Dallastown; and John Sheaffer, of Mt. Pleasant, Conowago township, Adams county. She is also survived by one brother, Henry Stambaugh, of Spring Grove, and one step-brother, Jacob Rice, of York. Funeral Wednesday, October 16, services at the house at 1:30 p.m., Rev. M. J.
