SHEFFER Milton Wesley Sheffer, retired farmer and active churchman, died at his home at Thomasville, Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock from the effects of a paralytic stroke which he suffered October 4. He was aged 74 years, 7 months and 25 days. Mr. Sheffer lived most of his life in Jackson township and followed farming as an occupation. He later became a day laborer. He was a staunch Democrat. For many years he served Roth's Reformed congregation, Jackson township, as a deacon and elder. He is survived by his wife, eight children, John, Warren and Milton Sheffer and Mrs. Maurice Kessler, all of Hanover; Mrs. Sadie Lay, York; Harvey, Emory and Levi Sheffer, all of Thomasville; two sisters, Mrs. Jacob Zeigler and Mrs. Goerge Myers, York; 22 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Friday morning at 9:30 o'clock from his late residence. Further services will be conducted at Roth's Trinity Reformed church. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. E. V. Strausbaugh, pastor of the Paradise Reformed charge, will be the officiating minister. News Comet, East Berlin, PA, October 17, 1930
