Sipes, seventy-one years old, died at his home, 922 North Howard avenue, at 12:15 o’clock yesterday morning. Death was caused by a complication of diseases following a lingering illness. He was a member of the First Moravian church and also a member of Star council, No. 141, Ancient Order Knights of Mystic Chain. Besides his wife he leaves the following children: Mrs. Fannie Whitekamp, Washington, D. C.; Mrs. Bertha Bender, 936 East Market street; George Sipes, at home; Charles Sipes, York; William Sipes, 951 North Duke street; Russell Sipes, 859 East Poplar street, and Stewart W. Sipes, 1052 East Market street; and the following brothers and sisters: Milton Sipes, Chicago; E. T. Sipes, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mrs. P. G. Hildebreck, Harney, M. D., and Miss Rosie Sipes, Clearfield, Pa. The funeral will be held from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bertha Bender, 936 East Market street, on Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock. The services will be in charge of Rev. C. A. Weber, of the First Moravian church. Interment will be made in Mt. Rose cemetery. The Gazette and Daily – Thursday, April 15, 1920
