ANNIE WALLACE SMITH wife of Ellsworth Smith, of Lower Chanceford township, York Co, Pa., died on Jan. 15, 1912, of pneumonia, aged about 50 years. Mrs. Smith had been in delicate health for a few years, and when attacked by pneumonia her strength soon weakened. She was a consistent faithful Christian, confessing Christ in the Hopewell church, later joining the Chanceford Presbyterian church with her husband and five daughters with many other relatives to mourn their loss. Mrs. Smith was the daughter of John Wallace and of a grown up family of thirteen, she was the first to be called hence. Funeral services were conducted on the 19th inst. by Rev. C. E. Doane, assisted by Rev. A. S. Aiken. The pall bearers were six brothers-in-law: David Collins, Samuel Collins, W. F. Manifold, Clarkson Manifold, W. J. Reed and Harry Grove.
