Smith, 86, of York, died at 8:52 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 1991 at York Hospital. Born in York New Salem, he was the son of the late Claude and Amy (Spotz) Smith. He was the husband of Margaret Pauline (Mummert) Smith. Mr. Smith served on the Spring Grove National Bank board of directors since January 1968. He was the owner of Clinton H. Smith Insurance Agency in York for 33 years. He also owned the former White Oak Park in North York. He built the Lincoln Drive-In Theatre, Route 30, which was the first drive-in theater in Central Pennsylvania. He served on the West York Area School Board and was a member and former church council member of St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church. Surviving also are a daughter, Sara Ann Sheffer of York; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Sauter Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. His pastor, the Rev. Marshall H. Gante, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Jacob’s Union Cemetery, York New Salem. Viewing will be 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be the board of directors of the Spring Grove National Bank. Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Fund of St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church, P. O.
