Handwritten on obit “2-17-1919.” 

Julian R. SMITH, widow of Oliver SMITH died Sunday morning at 1:45 o’clock, at 
the residence of her son, Emery SMITH, at ___ West College avenue after a brief 
illness, due to a complication of diseases, at the age of _8 (?) years. She is 
survived besides her son, at whose residence she died, by a daughter, Mrs. 
William LUCHABAUGH and the following sisters: Miss Ellen BAUMGARDNER, Mrs. 
Matilda MUMMERT of Hanover, Mrs. Amelia FISHEL, Glen Rock R. D. The remains will 
be shipped to Glenville today and removed to the residence of her son-in-law, 
William LUCHABAUGH from which place the funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 
a.m., with services at the Stone church and interment in the cemetery adjoining. 
Rev. W. H. EHRHART will officiate, assisted by Rev. W. H. KETTERMAN, of York.
