Dillsburg, May 24 – Arthur Leroy Speck, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd C. Speck, Dillsburg, R. D. 4, of near Barren’s church, died suddenly at the home of the parents at 8:15 a.m. today. Death was caused, according to Dr. L. U. Zech, coroner, who investigated, by a heart ailment. The child was aged three months and seven days. The parents told the coroner that they noticed that the child became suddenly ill this morning. They called Dr. W. L. Crawford, Dillsburg, but before he arrived, the child had died. Dr. Crawford in turn called Dr. Zech, who later issued the death certificate. Besides the parents, six brothers and sisters, the eldest ten years of age, survive, as follows: Charles, Robert, Clair, Lloyd Jr., Dean and Ethel, all at home. The grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Speck, of Mechanicsburg, and Mrs. George Mummert, Wellsville, also survive. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, with services and interment in the Barren’s church cemetery. B. S. Klugh, Dillsburg funeral director, is in charge of arrangements.
