Elwood O. Sprenkle
   Dies Of Pneumonia

Prominent County Miller
   Passes Away At Home
      Near Wrightsville

	Wrightsville, Jan. 4 - Ellwood O. Sprenkle, a prominent business man of 
this place and vicinity, died at his home along the Lincoln Highway, two miles 
west of here, today at 10:30 a.m. from pneumonia, aged 48 years.  Mr. Sprenkle 
had been engaged in the milling business a short distance west of here for a 
number of years, having succeeded his father, A.B. Sprenkle, retired.  Several 
years ago he purchase the flour and grain mill at Hallam, which he operated in 
connection with the local mill.  The deceased was president of the Wrightsville 
Building and Loan association and a director of the Wrightsville First National 
bank.  Fraternally he was a member of Riverside lodge No. 503, Free and 
Accepted Mason's, being a trustee for a number of years, and of Chihuahua lodge 
No. 317, Independent Order of Odd Fellows.  He was a member of the Reformed 
church at Hallam. Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. 
McKinley Stevens, Lansdowne and two sons, Elton and Kohr, both at home; his 
father, A.B. Sprenkle, Hallam township, and two sisters, Mrs. D.F. Miller, Red 
Lion and Mrs. Rudy Etters, Dayton, Ohio.
	The funeral will be held on Monday, with services at the house at 10 
a.m. and interment in Fairview cemetery.

Elwood O. Sprenkle was the son of Abraham Baer Sprenkle & Matilda Strickler.
