Sprenkle After an illness of just six days duration, Harvey E. Sprenkle, a well known citizen of York county, and a former deputy prothonotary of York county, under Prothonotary J.C. Ernst, died at 6:45 o'clock Saturday evening at his residence, 458 West Market street. Death was due to pneumonia which followed an attack of influenza. He was forty-nine years old. Besides his wife, Mr. Sprenkle is survived by his mother, Mrs. Louisa L. Sprenkle, who also resides at the Market street address. Mr. Sprenkle moved to York from Bair's station last March, less than a year ago and at the time of his death was secretary of the Farmers' Mutual Fire Insurance company of Dover, having succeeded the late William A. Smyser to that position. Before moving to this city, Mr. Sprenkle enjoyed an active business career. First as a farmer, than a manufacturer of cigars, with a factory at Bair's. After this he organized the sewing concern which now operates a big plant at Bair's. Later, he retired from active business and came to York. Mr. Sprenkle was a member of Wolf's church and the funeral services will be held in that church at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning, Rev. Dr. O.P. Schellhamer will officiate. Interment will be made in the adjoining cemetery. Additional Comments: Harvey was the s/o Abraham Hershey Sprenkle & Louisa Emig.
