Mrs. Sarah Catherine Stahl, 85, Dies at Her Residence in York. 

Other deaths are reported.
 
Mrs. Sarah Catherine Stahl, 85, widow of George W. Stahl, died Christmas evening at 9:45 
o'clock at her home, 49 South Penn Street, York. Death was due to infirmities. She had been 
confined to bed less than a week. 

Mrs. Stahl was a daughter of the late George Christian and Mary Mummert Sowers, Hanover, and 
was born February 15, 1850. In 1878 she was married to George W. Stahl, who preceded her in 
death March 12, 1920. She had resided in York for the past eight or nine years.
 
Surviving are four sons and one daughter as follows: Samuel S. Stahl, Sr., Hanover; Daniel 
Webster Stahl, McSherrystown; Lewis Valentine Stahl, Hanover; Mrs. Alverta C. Garrett, York and 
David H. Stahl, Hanover. Two step-children, Mrs. Ida Huff, Littlestown, and Robert Stahl, 
Hanover; twenty-six grandchildren and twenty- one great grandchildren also survive. 

Funeral services Saturday afternoon at her late residence at 1:30 o'clock. A Lutheran minister 
of York will officiate. Burial will be made in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
