All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/york/ _______________________________________________ Jacob Sterner Jacob Sterner, a young farmer, died suddenly at his late home on the Michael Bowman farm, West Manheim Township, near Sherman’s church, at 3 o’clock Monday morning, aged 39 years. Mr. Sterner was in his usual health on Sunday and was taken suddenly ill in the evening. The deceased was a son of Henry and Susan Sterner, of near Dubs’ church. Twelve years ago he was married to Miss Ella Reachart, who survives together with his parents and the following brothers and sisters, Emory and Samuel Sterner, of near Melrose; Nelson Sterner, of Summit; Ira Sterner, of Hanover; Mrs. Jacob Shaffer, of Glen Rock; Mrs. Parker Tracey, of Melrose, and Miss Sarah Sterner, at home. Funeral, Thursday, May 25, short services at the house at 9 a.m., further services at Sherman’s church, Rev. George E. Sheffer officiating. Interment at the church cemetery adjoining the church.
