Stine, six-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stine, of Thomasville. The lad was admitted to the hospital Monday night and his condition was critical from the time of his admission. The deadly disease, commonly known as lockjaw, developed since Saturday night when a splinter, which entered his left hand several weeks ago was removed by Dr. T. C. Miller, Abbottstown. The body was removed from the hospital to the funeral home of Harry Emig, at East Berlin, to be prepared for burial. The funeral on Thursday was strictly private with only graveside services in Abbottstown cemetery, conducted by Rev. Paul Gladfelter, pastor of the Abbottstown Lutheran charge. Owing to the deadly nature of the disease which caused death, burial had to be private and within 36 hours after death. Besides his parents, George leaves three brothers and one sister, Ralph, Floyd, Charles and Helen, all at home, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Zeigler, York.
