Strickler, wife of Henry A. Strickler, did at her home, No. 453 Carlisle street, at 7:15 o’clock p.m. Tuesday form typhoid fever, after several weeks’ illness. She was aged 33 years, 7 months and 20 days. Mrs. Strickler was the daughter of John Bange, a well-known citizen of this place, and was married to Henry Strickler about six years ago. Besides her husband and father, she is survived by three children, Estella, Claude, and Richard, the latter an infant, about four weeks old. Two sisters, Mrs. Lewis Surrick, of Philadelphia, and Mrs. William Bergman, of Manchester, Md., and two brothers, William Bange, of Abbottstown street, and Charles C. Bange, of Altoona, also survive. The deceased was a most estimable young woman, who enjoyed the esteem of a large number of friends. She was a consistent member of Emmanuel Reformed congregation, and an active worker in the I. C. A. Circle of that church. Her father, John Bange, has been visiting his children, out of town, and was at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Surrick, in Philadelphia, when he received word of his daughter’s death. Funeral Friday, July 19th, services at the house at 10 a.m., Rev. A. S. Dechant, of Emmanuel Reformed church, officiating. Interment on the family lot in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
