Thoman, husband of the late Fannie Thoman, died at 9:15 a.m. yesterday at his home, 1035 East Market Street. He was 89. A retired farmer and former sexton of the First EUB Church, Mr. Thoman is survived by nine children, 53 grandchildren, 117 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren—181 direct descendants in all. The surviving children include Mrs. Frank Greenplate, Seven Valleys R.D. 1, and eight sons: William F. Thoman,1035 East Market Street, with whom he resided; Bert L. Thoman, Glen Rock R.D. 2; John A. Thoman, Codorus; Alfred E Thoman, Seven Valleys R.D. 1; James M. Thoman, Spring Grove R. D. 2; Levi S. Thoman, Hanover; Charles B. Thoman, Columbia R.D. 2; and Paul E. Thoman, Dallastown. Mr. Thoman was born in Codorus Township, the son of the late Levi and Lena Krebs Thoman. His pastor, Rev Dr. W. Ward Smith of First EUB church, will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Monday at the Etzweiler Funeral home, 1111 East Market street. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery near Jefferson, PA.
