A Requiem High Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church by the pastor, Rev. Father J. C. Foin. Interment was made at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. The funeral was largely attended by relatives and friends of the deceased. The floral tributes were numerous and handsome, testifying to the high esteem in which the young man was held. St. Joseph’s Beneficiary Society, of which deceased was a member, attended in a body. The pall-bearers were Stanley Scheivert, Martin Rang, Harvey Ohm, Ambrose Klunk, Claude Forney and Herbert Hershey. Those attending the funeral from out of town were: John Conoburgh and wife and Thomas Dissel, of Wilkes-barre, Rev. Father Melchior, Henry ----, John Wagner, Mrs. Charles Landis, Mrs. Curvin Scheivert, Mrs. ----- Keene, Misses Emma Boll and Virginia Heist, of York; John Weaver and son, David Fink and wife of New Oxford; Conrad Schmidt of Bonneauville and Mrs. Bair and son of Glenville.
