Delta Herald and Times, Delta, Pennsylvania, 1 January 1909

MR WILLIAM WALLACE an aged and respected citizen, of East Hopewell, this 
country, died of paralysis at his residence, on Dec 30th 1908 in 
the 82 year of his age. His funeral took place on Wednesday 23rd at Hopewell 
Presbyterian church of which he had been a member for 33 years. an impressive 
service was conducted by his pastor Rev. G. H. Ettlick, assisted by Rev. 
Ramsay, of the U.P. church, of which he was a member in earlier life. He 
leaves, beside his widow, who was Miss Mary Ann Heaps of Harford County, two 
sons, Archibald H. and David C. Wallace, and five daughters. Mrs. Levi Henry, 
Mrs. J. H. Andrews, Mrs. Wm Veach and Misses Elizabeth and Sallie Wallace. Two 
sons died years ago, and 15 grand children survive him. He was a loving and 
devoted husband and father.
     Two sisters Mrs. Jane Ann Cross and Miss Ellen E. Wallace also survive 
him.
