Waser of Manchester died at 1:35 a.m. Tuesday at his home. He was the husband of Betty (Fritz) Waser. The couple observed their 37th anniversary June 6. The service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Cassel’s Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 570 Cassel Road, Manchester. Burial will be in Manchester Union Cemetery. Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Diehl Funeral Home Inc., 87 S. Main St., Mount Wolf. Mr. Waser was born Aug. 21, 1939, in Manchester Township. He was the son of the late Fred and Annie (Kreiser) Waser. He worked at James Craft and Son in York Haven for 32 years, where he was a superintendent. He graduated from Northeastern Senior High School and attended Cassel’s Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Mr. Waser also is survived by two sons, Philip Carl Waser and Gregory Stewart Waser, both of York; two grandchildren; a sister, Clara Patterson of Dayton, Ohio. Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. David Gouak. Memorial contributions may be made to Cassel’s Christian and Missionary Church, 570 Cassel’s Road, Manchester 17345.
