FAWN GROVE AND VICINITY
Jesse WEBB SR. second son of the late Richard and Elizabeth WEBB, left his 
home about one fourth mile from here on Monday morning and dropped dead just 
as he reached the walk at Augustus Grancel's store.  Dr. Vallie Hawkins was 
summoned and pronounced death due to heart trouble from which he had been 
suffering the past winter. He was a bachelor and had lived alone for several 
years.  He was 70 years and 4 days old.  The remains were taken to the home of 
his brother Joseph WEBB, by undertaker W. R. Webb where they were prepared for 
burial.  He is survived by one sister, Rachel, wife of Rev. C. A. STEARN, of 
Connellsville, Pa. and one brother Joseph H. of this place.  The funeral was 
held from the home of his brother on Wednesday afternoon.  Services in the M. 
P. church.  Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
