Death was caused by uremia. He was a member of the Home Mission Board of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the United States, a trustee of the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, treasurer of the York Water Company, a director of the York County National Bank and various other corporations. Mr. Weiser was in the banking business more than a score of years and was acting postmaster of York in 1891. He is survived by a widow and one adopted daughter.
